Fund for Schools Affected by Hurricane Katrina

 

We thank everyone who has donated instruments and instrument repairs, those who have held benefit concerts and instrument drives and our many cash donors. MHOF has assisted dozens of schools in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee.

Music Rising, a Gulf Coast recovery program administered by the Gibson Foundation, has raised over $1,000,000 to provide instruments to professional musicians, schools and churches in the region. MHOF is proud to help them in their efforts to identify needy school music programs in the affected areas, and put music back into their lives.
