The Columbia, MO Citywide Drumline and Rhythm (CMCDR) is alive and doing very well. This year we had eighteen new participants sign up for the CMCDR program. This figure is twice as many as signed up at this time last year. The parent support in the CMCDR Booster Club has been absolutely outstanding. In the midst of one of the hottest summers on record and after having to cancel three parade performances because of the extreme heat, we are currently rehearsing in preparation for our participation in the "New Franklin, MO Santa Fe Trails Days Parade" on September 17th. We currently have fifteen participants playing drums and percussion, plus six flag corp participants, and two banner carriers. This year we are sending three drum participants and three flag corp participants back into the public school system's band and orchestras. Our normal average is two to three each year. I feel very pleased and privileged to have the support and help from the "Mister Hollands Opus Foundation". The Yamaha equipment that you have given to us has been extremely vital in making it possible for CMCDR to full-fill our mission obligation of serving the "at risk" young people in the Boone County Area who have fallen through the musical net and would not otherwise have the opportunity. Your help has been immeasurable. I am looking forward to providing CMCDR participants with another exciting and fun performance season. Thank you so very much for the Yamaha equipment and putting CMCDR on the map.
Warm Regards
