"The students of Hialeah Middle School have a passion for music. They often practice before and after school and are eager to rehearse and perform. Our instruments are old and simply falling apart! Even though our instruments are in bad shape, the students know that they are expected to perform as though we are in the best of musical situations. Receiving the grant issued by The Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation will remove the cap on their musical potential. This will relieve much frustration and dismay from learning musical fundamentals on broken instruments.
